Kyrgyzstan’s volume of industrial production for six months increases by 14.1%

Bishkek, July 12, 2022. /Kabar/. The volume of industrial production in January-June 2022 amounted to about KGS 191 billion, and increased by 14.1% compared to January-June last year, First Deputy Chairwoman of the National Statistics Committee of the republic Ainura Orozbaeva said during a briefing on Tuesday. The growth occurred at the expense of increase of volumes of industrial production in comparison with January-June last year. It was caused by increase of volumes of production of basic metals and ready metal products, except machinery and equipment (by 35.1%), wood and paper products, printing activity (by 32.5%), oil products (by 15.8%), food products (including drinks) and tobacco products (by 12.1%), mining of minerals (by 9.4%). "Positive trends were observed in construction, where the increase in volumes amounted to 3.4%, agriculture - 2%, wholesale and retail trade - 10%," the deputy head of the Statistics Committee of Kyrgyzstan said.
