Kyrgyz, Uzbek leaders visit innovation technopark in Tashkent

Bishkek, March 12, 2021. / Kabar /. Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov and Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev jointly visited the Yashnabad Innovation Technopark in Tashkent. The press service of the Kyrgyz president said the Technopark is a group of industrial enterprises, focused on practical implementation of tasks on creation of high-tech, competitive, export-oriented and import-substituting productions. The main purpose of its activity is to create favorable environment for development of innovative entrepreneurship, and to assist in establishment of effective public-private partnership in this direction. The heads of state visited the exhibition hall of products, toured by electric cars the production shops and pavilions with products made in Uzbekistan. Zhaparov and Mirziyoyev spoke with heads of enterprises of the Technopark, who presented them the innovative developments and produced agricultural and textile products, developments in the field of hydropower, geological exploration, mechanical engineering, etc. The two leaders also discussed the possibility of exchange of experience and cooperation, taking into account the innovative developments of the Technopark in various directions. During the tour of vehicles produced in Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz side received 20 locally made ambulances as a gift. President Zhaparov noted the great importance of the Yashnabad Technopark and wished it further expansion and development.
