Kyrgyz president takes part in extraordinary session of CSTO CSC

Bishkek, Sept. 14, 2022. /Kabar/. On September 13, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov took part in an extraordinary session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) via videoconferencing, held at the initiative of the Armenian side, the press service of the head of state reported. The extraordinary session was devoted to the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The head of state noted that Kyrgyzstan is extremely concerned about the escalation of the situation on the border of two friendly states. Sadyr Zhaparov stressed the need to resolve the situation exclusively through political and diplomatic means and expressed hope that both sides would continue to refrain from the use of force and resolve all differences between themselves by peaceful means based on confidence-building measures between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
