Kyrgyz president signs decree on appointment of prime minister and new gov't

Bishkek, Oct. 14, 2020 /Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov has signed on Wednesday a Decree "On appointment of the Prime Minister and members of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic". At today’s meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh at the Ala-Archa state residence, deputies approved structure, composition and program of Sadyr Zhaparov's Government. Heads of some ministries, namely the Ministries of Economy, Agriculture, Justice, Labour, as well as chairman of the State Committee for Information Technologies and Communication remain unchanged. On Oct. 10 at an extraordinary meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh deputies elected Sadyr Zhaparov as prime minister. However, President Jeenbekov returned the document to the parliament and stated that appointment of the head of government should not cause questions concerning legitimacy.
