Kyrgyz President and PM discuss epidemic situation, preparations for parliamentary elections

Bishkek. Sept. 7, 2020 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov held an online meeting with Prime Minister of the country Kubatbek Boronov.
The current epidemiological situation in the country, issues of preparation for the autumn-winter period, as well as the holding of parliamentary elections were discussed, the President’s press service reported.
Boronov noted that as part of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and preparations for the autumn-winter period, the construction and repair of hospitals is being carried out at an accelerated pace.
The head of government announced about conducting raids to comply with sanitary requirements in public transport, cafes and restaurants, many of which do not comply with the established rules. It is recommended that malicious violators be brought to justice up to closure.
Sooronbayi Jeenbekov emphasized that there is no guarantee that there will be no second wave of coronavirus infection, and therefore drew attention to the completion of the construction and reconstruction of hospitals in the regions, equipping new medical institutions, preparing additional beds and ensuring a stock of medicines.
On the eve of the parliamentary elections, the head of state stressed the need to ensure proper technical and sanitary readiness of polling stations, to strengthen control over compliance with electoral legislation.
Noting the importance of stepping up work to support entrepreneurship, Sooronbay Jeenbekov urged to intensify work on the digitalization of the activities of state bodies, public services to the population, to intensify the fiscalization of tax procedures.
