Kyrgyz PM Calls on Qatari Businessmen to Invest in Kyrgyzstan

Doha, March 06 (QNA) - Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Omurbek Babanov called on Qatari businessmen to visit his country to be briefed on the investment opportunities in his country and to meet businessmen to create true partnerships between the private sectors in both countries. During a meeting yesterday evening with a delegation from Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry at his residence at Doha Four Seasons Hotel, Omorbek Papanov stressed his country's keenness to strengthen economic relations with the State of Qatar. The meeting, which was chaired on the Qatari side by Vice Chairman of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Towar , addressed economic and trade relations between the private sectors in both countries and means to strengthen them. Investment opportunities in different areas in Kyrgyzstan, including metals, gold mining, agriculture, energy, tourism and the possibility of bringing Kyrgyz qualified manpower to the State of Qatar were also discussed during the meeting. For his part, HE Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Towar said that this visit is a new chapter in the relations between Qatar and Kyrgyzstan which will strengthen trade ties between the private sectors in both countries. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Qatar yesterday signed a cooperation Memorandum of Understanding with the Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The MoU was signed by HE Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatari Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani and Chairman of the Kyrgyz Chamber. (QNA)
