Kyrgyz Manas epic translated into English

Bishkek, Aug. 8, 2022. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz writer Mara Baizhiev's textbook version of the Manas epic trilogy has been translated into English, the National Library of Kyrgyzstan reported. The author of the translation is Akylai Baimatova. The presentation of the book will take place on Aug. 9 at the National Library. The event will be attended by Secretary of State Suyuntbek Kasmambetov, Minister of Culture Azamat Zhamankulov, also the US Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan. The presentation will feature the epic narration in English and skits.
