Kyrgyz Gov’t exempts imports of sugar and vegetable oil from VAT

Bishkek, March 23, 2022 . / Kabar /. By the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, the import of sugar and vegetable oil is exempted from VAT. This was stated at a session on Wednesday, the press service of the Cabinet reported. "In accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, a zero tax rate for added value of sugar and refined vegetable oil imported into the Kyrgyz Republic is set from April 1 to Dec. 31, 2022,” the report said. A total of 14 questions were considered at the session. Thus, the procedure for collecting tax debts and methodology for determining the tax liability based on indirect methods was approved.
