Kyrgyz FM receives Chinese ambassador Du Dewen

Bishkek, Sept. 6, 2022. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev received ChineseAmbassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Du Dewen, the Foreign Ministry reported. During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on strengthening Kyrgyz-Chinese relations, intensifying trade and economic cooperation and implementing infrastructure projects at the expense of grant funds from the Chinesegovernment. Kulubaev noted the importance of practical measures for the implementation of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway construction project, and also emphasized the prospects of this road and its high transit potential, which will increase interconnectivity in the region. The sides also discussed the tasks and plans for optimizing the activities of checkpoints, increasing the volume of exports of agricultural products from the Kyrgyz Republic to China. Regarding multilateral cooperation, the sides discussed holding meetings and events within the framework of the upcoming SCO Summit, as well as the 77th session of the UN General Assembly. The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere.
