Kyrgyz FM Kazakbaev receives Turkish Ambassador Ahmet Sadik Dogan

Bishkek, April 19, 2022. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev received on Tuesday Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Ahmet Sadik Dogan. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of the current agenda of the Kyrgyz-Turkish strategic cooperation, noted the current high level of Kyrgyz-Turkish political dialogue at all levels, the press service of the Kyrgyz MFA said. They also identified priority areas of cooperation in the near future, as well as reviewed the schedule of upcoming events and planned visits at high and the highest levels. Kazakbaev noted the importance of strengthening trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, focusing during the conversation on increasing trade turnover, implementation of projects, the establishment of an investment fund of interest to both countries and holding the next meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation (IGC). In addition, the Kyrgyz minister stressed the importance of the ongoing work of the Kyrgyz side in the development of cooperation in the Organization of Turkic States and the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TurkPA), attaching importance to maintaining close interaction between the parties.
