Kyrgyz FM and Minister of Transport of Qatar discuss co-op in transport and logistics sector

Bishkek, Oct 10, 2022 / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev, as part of his official visit to the State of Qatar, met with Minister of Transport of Qatar, Jassim bin Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti. During the meeting, the sides discussed cooperation between the two countries in the transport and logistics sector. An exchange of views took place on the possibilities of joint elaboration of the issues of opening direct flights. The ministers stressed the importance of intensifying this area for the development of the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and agreed to take practical steps in this direction. During the meeting, the participation of Qatar in promising transcontinental projects for the development of railway communication was substantively discussed. Kulubaev congratulated Al-Sulaiti on the election of the State of Qatar to the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which reflects the country's great contribution to international cooperation in this area. In turn, the Qatari minister thanked the Kyrgyz minister for the support provided and noted that the interaction between Kyrgyzstan and Qatar on international platforms expands the horizons of cooperation. At the end of the meeting, Kulubaev invited the Qatari minister to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
