Kyrgyz authorities are absolutely open to dialogue with business: Cabinet head

Bishkek, June 14, 2022. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov made a welcoming speech at the opening of the International Diversified Business Mission of Russian companies in Kyrgyzstan on Monday.
The head of the Cabinet outlined the priorities of the Cabinet of Ministers, such as liberal tax legislation, soft currency regulation, efforts aimed at protecting investments, and urged investors to cooperate.
"President of the Kyrgyz Republic asked me to extend greetings to all participants of the business mission. I would like to note that the activities of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund for six years have demonstrated viability and effectiveness in financing projects aimed at developing the national economy. It has thousands of financed projects across the country. Now we are waiting for the activity of the organization in those sectors and directions where due to high risks the activity of commercial banks is limited. We are talking about the development of renewable energy sources, production clusters in light industry and agriculture, trade and logistics infrastructure, information and communication technologies, stock market," he said.
The chairman of the Kyrgyz Cabinet expressed confidence that the business mission of Russian companies will serve as an impetus for the establishment of partnerships between business entities of the two countries.
"The Kyrgyz Republic has defined as its strategic goal the formation of an updated favorable investment climate, the guarantee of which will be harmonious and liberal legislation, high social responsibility and a fair judicial system. The authorities of the republic are absolutely open for the dialogue with business and are ready to do their best to make investors feel free and comfortable in the Kyrgyz market,” Akylbek Zhaparov concluded.
The event, organized by the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, was attended by representatives of more than 100 leading Russian companies.
