Kyrgyz athlete Zholaman Sharshenbekov becomes world wrestling champion

Bishkek, Sept. 14, 2022. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz Greco-Roman wrestler Zholaman Sharshenbekov won gold at the World Wrestling Championship, which takes place in Belgrade (Serbia). In the finals in the weight category up to 60 kg, the Kyrgyzstani defeated Edmond Nazaryan from Bulgaria with a score of 11: 2 and became the world champion. Earlier the Greco-Roman wrestler Akzhol Makhmudov in the weight category up to 77 kg brought the gold medal to the national team of Kyrgyzstan, Amantur Ismailov won the bronze (67 kg). In total, the Kyrgyz national team at the world championship is represented by 15 wrestlers.
