Kyrgyz ambassador meets with minister of internal affairs of Tajikistan

Bishkek, Aug. 25, 2022. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan Erlan Abdyldaev met with Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan Ramazon Rakhimzoda in Dushanbe. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the main aspects of bilateral Kyrgyz-Tajik cooperation, including in the migration and law enforcement areas. The sides noted the importance of supporting close cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, which should have a positive impact on the timely prevention of threats and challenges outgoing in the region, as well as ensuring security and stability in the border regions of the two countries. The Tajik minister emphasized the persistence of the threat from international terrorist organizations operating in the north of Afghanistan, focusing on the need for joint efforts to prevent the escalation of the situation in this direction, including within regional organizations.
