Kyrgyz ambassador and deputy FM of Saudi Arabia discuss wide range of issues of co-op

Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Walid bin Abdulkarim Al-Khureyji. According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz ambassador and the deputy foreign minister of Saudi Arabia discussed a wide range of issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation. The sides noted with satisfaction the high dynamics of cooperation between the countries, noting the importance of organizing mutual visits at high and highest levels. Noting the significant role of the Saudi Development Fund in developing the infrastructure of the Kyrgyz Republic and improving the socio-economic sphere, Maripov briefly informed about the successful holding of the Fourth Round Table with the participation of the Arab Coordination Group on August 3-4 this year in Cholpon-Ata. Highly appreciating the development of Kyrgyz-Saudi relations, he called for further intensification of relations and building them up to bring them to a qualitatively new level. Maripov focused on the need to develop trade and economic cooperation, including by opening direct regular flights between the two countries, creating a Business Council, expanding the legal framework and quickly resolving the issue of issuing an electronic tourist visa to Saudi Arabia for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic. He also drew attention to the need for high-quality preparation of events scheduled for the coming months, such as working and official visits at high and top levels, the second meeting of the Kyrgyz-Saudi Business Forum and the regular meeting of the Kyrgyz-Saudi Intergovernmental Commission. In turn, Al-Khureyji confirmed the intention of the Kingdom to expand bilateral cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in all mutually beneficial areas. Expressing satisfaction with the dynamics of the development of cooperation between the countries, Al-Khureyji expressed the readiness of the Foreign Ministry to provide all possible assistance in the successful implementation of the planned events, which contributes to strengthening relations between the fraternal countries, increasing the flow of tourists, strengthening ties between representatives of the business community, and increasing the volume of trade. At the same time, he thanked the Kyrgyz side for supporting the candidacy of Saudi Arabia in hosting EXPO-2030.
