Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Highlights Meeting with Qatari Advisory Council Speaker

Doha, February 18 (QNA) - Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly (Majlis Al Umma) Ali bin Fahd Al Rashid said that his talks today with HE Speaker of the Advisory Council Mohammad bin Mubarak Al-Khulaifi dealt with several issues related to the two Councils. In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) after his meeting with HE Al-Khulaifi, the Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker said that the talks also dealt with a lot of other things, including topics related to the work of the GCC Committees and the Parliamentary Union in addition to regional and Arab issues. He also noted that such visits are very necessary to strengthen relations and hear views between brothers, adding that his visit to Doha comes in the framework of fraternal mutual visits between officials of the two countries to strengthen relations between the two brotherly peoples in Qatar and Kuwait. Meanwhile, Al Rashid said that he sent on this occasion an official invitation to HE Speaker of the Advisory Council to visit Kuwait at any time deemed appropriate, as well as to participate in the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union meeting, to be held in Kuwait next April.
