Kuwaiti Amir receives BACA President

Kuwait, June 8 (BNA): Kuwaiti Amir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah received today President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) and Board Chairwoman of the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa on the occasion of her visit to Kuwait. They discussed the importance of culture in preserving the national identity and the role of the human heritage in keeping a historical record of civilisations and identifying common denominators in the Arabian Gulf region. Shaikha Mai pointed out the investment cultural projects in Bahrain which boosted the kingdom's status on the Arad and international cultural scene, stressing the importance of culture as a bulwark defending the regional identity. The Kuwaiti Amir praised Bahrain's cultural achievements, stressing that constant keenness to preserve human heritage through the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage will yield dividends not only in Bahrain but the whole Arabian Gulf countries and the Arab world.
