Kuwait, Tunisia terror attacks condemned

Manama, June 26 (BNA): The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs condemned the terror blast which targeted today worshippers at Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in Al-Sawaber neighbourhood in Kuwait city, leaving many innocent people killed and injured.
In a statement issued today, the council described the horrendous terror act as a transgression of the sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan, mosques, Friday and the blood of the Muslim. It extended condolences to the Kuwaiti leadership and people as well as the victims’ families, wishing the injured a speedy recovery and the Islamic countries constant security and stability.
The council affirmed that wisdom and unity of the Kuwaiti people are capable of thwarting all attempts to drive wedges among them. It also condemned all heinous terror acts targeting the societies’ security, including the cowardly attack on a hotel in Tunisia today.
The council asserted that those cowardly criminal acts are in breach with all divine religions and values, urging unity to foil plots to sow sedition among Muslims. It also called to renounce divide, sectarianism and fanaticism and throw heavy weight behind the leaderships to confront ambient challenges and threats
