KSA rejects hegemony, expansionism

Manama, Apr. 12 (BNA): The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Bahrain, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul-Malik Al Al-Shaikh, has hailed the deep-rooted and strong cultural, social and familial relations between the two kingdoms. The ambassador in an interview with local daily Al Ayam lauded the increasingly-growing cooperation fostered by both leaderships for the interest, security and stability of both countries and peoples. He commended Operation Decisive Storm and the historic decision taken by the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Egypt, Jordan and Morocco after the exhaustion of all ways and means to reach a peaceful accord with the Houthi militias, the pro-deposed president Ali Abdullah Saleh forces and foreign forces meddling in Yemen. He said his country was not at loggerheads with others, but differed with those who wanted to impose hegemony or expansionism on Gulf countries. The envoy said Saudi Arabia is a peaceful nation that will protect the security of all GCC countries and will never stand idle towards its aggressors.
