KGS 26 bln will be allocated to agriculture for first time-Sadyr Zhaparov

"We are now actively investing resources in agriculture.Never before have KGS 26 billion been allocated as loans to farmers at 6 percent," said President Sadyr Zhaparov during the Republican meeting of social workers. "Here I would like to emphasize one point, dear peasants and farmers. Of course, this amount is not enough to fully provide all peasants and farmers this year, because we have about 500,000 farmers throughout the country. This year we allocated all the money we had. God willing, next year we will provide in full. Together with funds allocated for irrigation, purchase of seeds and provision of other resources, the total amount allocated for agriculture will reach KGS 40 billion this year," the Kyrgyz president said. Bishkek is hosting on Monday the Republican meeting of social workers with the participation of President Sadyr Zhaparov. The event, attended by representatives of education, health, culture and social protection from all regions of the country, will discuss pressing issues of socio-economic development of the republic.
