Kazeroun To Host Int'l Congress On Salman Farsi

Tehran, Oct 31, IRNA – International Congress on Salman Farsi, a companion of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), will open in Kazeroun, Fars province, on October 31-November 1. Minister of Culture and the Islamic Guidance Minister Mohammad Hosseini will attend the Congress. Some 200 Iranian and international outstanding political, cultural and scientific personalities will also take part in the event. An agreement of sisterhood between the cities Kazeroun and Madaen has been prepared by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization and Iran's Cultural Office in Iraq will be signed on the sidelines of the event. Setting up a statue of Salman Farsi at the entrance of Kazeroun, publishing a stamp featuring Salman Farsi, holding an exhibition of visual arts and organizing a poetry night in all the cities in Fars province are envisaged the peripheral programs of the international congress. Talks are also underway to institute a biennial award named after Salman Farsi./end
