Kazakh leader expresses condolences to Jeenbekov and Kyrgyz people on National Mourning Day for COVID-19 victims

Bishkek, July 30, 2020. /Kabar/. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed condolences to Kyrgyz leader Sooronbay Jeenbekov and people of Kyrgyzstan on the Day of National Mourning, declared in Kyrgyzstan July 30 in memory of the victims of the coronavirus pandemic, the Kyrgyz President’s press service reported Thursday.
"On behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and on my own behalf, I would like to express my sincere words of support on the day of national mourning in memory of the citizens of brotherly Kyrgyzstan who became victims of the coronavirus pandemic. In difficult times, sharing the bitterness of the irreplaceable loss, I express my deep condolences to the relatives and friends of those perished, and to all those who today are struggling with this insidious disease, I wish a speedy recovery,” the Kazakh leader’s telegram of condolences says.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed confidence that the decisive measures taken, the unity and cohesion of the Kyrgyz people will help stabilize the epidemiological situation in the country in the very near future, and also assured that Kazakhstan remains ready to provide all possible assistance to the brotherly people of Kyrgyzstan and efforts to jointly counteract the coronavirus infection.
