Justice Minister: Anti-Corruption Centre for Achieving Integrity, Transparency

Doha, December 11 (QNA) -HE Minister of Justice Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim said that the opening the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Centre in Doha is of great importance in strengthening the region's countries efforts in achieving integrity, transparency and fighting of corruption. HE the Minister told reporters after the opening ceremony of the Centre that the Centre will promote the culture of anti-corruption, noting that all officials in Qatar will work for the success of the new Centre which will have a significant role in encouraging States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption on its implementation. The United Nations recognizes that Qatar will create opportunities, mechanisms and new ideas that will enhance the principles of transparency and the fight against corruption and that the UN will significantly support the Centre in order to enhance the culture of fighting corruption in the region, HE the Minister added.(QNA)
