Jordan Welcomes HH the Hair Apparent Visit

Doha, January 29 (QNA) - Jordan welcomed HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani's visit to Amman today, which reflects the close and strong relations between the two brotherly countries, Jordan's Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications and Government's spokesman Rakan al-Majali said. In statements to Qatari daily (al-Sharq) published today, al-Majali said that Jordan and Qatar have close relationship based on mutual coordination on all issues and matters of common interest. He expressed appreciation to HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and to HH the Heir Apparent for their positive and leading roles in serving Arab and Islamic issues. Al-Majali highlighted the importance of HH the Heir Apparent's visit which comes in the framework of the mutual coordination and further strengthening the bilateral relations. For his part, Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh underlined that HH the Heir Apparent's visit is welcomed by all Jordanians, adding that HH the Heir Apparent's meetings with Jordan's King and high-ranking officials would further promote the cooperation between the two countries. Minister Judeh hailed Qatar's role in supporting the Jordanian economy and its development investments in the country, adding that thousands of qualified and experienced Jordanians are working in Qatar and they are contributing with their Qatari brothers to the great development process witnessed by the country. He appreciated the good treatment for the Jordanian community in Qatar, which reflects the authentic Arab values of the Qatari leadership and the Qatari people. The Jordanian Foreign Minister noted that both Qatar and Jordan have unified political positions towards the latest issues and developments in the regions. He said that the talks between King Abdullah II of Jordan and HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and HE the Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani came in the framework of the joint Arab work which aims to serve the interests of the Arab peoples and help end the crises in the Arab region. He underlined Jordan's support for all the efforts currently exerted to stop the bloodshed and end the crisis in Syria. (QNA)
