A Joint Center With Saudi Arabia Established For Exchanging Security Information

BAGHDAD, Iraq (NINA) - The head of the army's chief of staff, Othman al-Ghanmi announced the establishment of a joint security center with Saudi Arabia to exchange information and cooperate in the security field. Al-Ghanmi said during a joint conference with his Saudi counterpart Abdurrahman bin Saleh that Arar border crossing with Saudi Arabia will be opened after completion of the administrative and logistical requirements, as well as opening Jmema port in Al-Muthanna province - Raffah from the Saudi side. For his part, the Saudi army chief of staff stressed the importance of the agreement with Iraq to control the border and the formation of a joint security center to exchange information and fight terrorism. Bin Saleh said that "victory over Daesh in Iraq represents the basis to eliminate it in all countries of the world."/ End
