Japan’s experience with COVID-19 shared through online workshop

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The WHO Western Pacific Region has hosted an online workshop under a theme “Strengthening Health Care in Mongolia”. During the workshop, experts from the Disease Control and Prevention Center of Japan shared their experiences on how to provide emergency care and response in the field of medical imaging and clinical management during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the fact that health care in Mongolia is running normal and there are few deaths and complications, the number of COVID-19 cases in Ulaanbaatar, as well as in other aimags has increased dramatically in recent weeks. Therefore, the workshop has been highly praised by the participants for its timeliness.
