Baghdad, Iraq (NINA) - Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari and his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif stressed the need to continue intensive dialogues and adopt diplomatic solutions to the problems in the region. "Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari discussed with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif the most important issues of concern to Baghdad and Tehran, the overall security situation, the political situation in the region and the efforts exerted to face the challenges and overcome differences between some countries in the region," a statement for the Foreign Ministry said. The two sides stressed, during the meeting on the sidelines of the Mediterranean Dialogue Forum in Rome "the need for continued intensive dialogues and the adoption of diplomatic solutions to the problems experienced by the region."
