Ivorian President: HH Emir Invests Much in Spreading Peace in World

Doha, May 14 (QNA) - The President of Ivory Coast, Dr. Al-Hassan Dramane Ouattara ,has affirmed that HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has invested a lot in the realization of peace and democracy in many countries of the world. In a press conference he held here last night on the occasion of his visit to Qatar with the Qatari businessmen, the Ivorian President,Al-Hassan , expressed admiration over efforts being exerted by Qatar in spreading peace in the world, describing his meeting with HH the Emir of Qatar as constructive and fruitful as they discussed common cooperation in the fields of infrastructure and the 1000km highway linking Cote d'Ivoire with Burkina Faso which worth USD 4bn. He said talks during the meeting dealt with possibility of exporting Qatar liquefied natural gas to the Cote d'Ivoire in order to generate greater amounts of electricity for the Cote d'Ivoire and neighboring countries, as well as establishing a university in Abidjan. During his meeting with the Qatari businessmen he described the private sector investments as a key for development and a chance for the work, saying the Qatari businessmen expressed their desires to invest in agricultural, industrial,mining and infrastructure domains. The Ivorian President also described his visit to Doha as historical as it came in an important stage in which his country is seeking to join up the emerging countries in 2020, adding that his country is working to open an embassy in Qatar to carry out all of these projects on the ground. President of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire Hassan Dramane Ouattara left Doha earlier Tuesday morning, wrapping up several days' state visit to Qatar. (QNA)
