Baghdad / NINA /- Italian Ambassador Bruno Antonio confirmed his support for Iraq and to empower its government by revitalizing the cultural sector. The Ministry of Culture said in a statement received by the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) "The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Hassan Nadhim, discussed today, with Italian Ambassador Bruno Antonio, in a meeting that brought together in the Minister's office, ways of enhancing cultural cooperation between the two countries," The Italian ambassador conveyed, "The keenness of the Italian embassy and government to support Iraq and its government and enable the administration of the Iraqi government at this stage to revitalize the cultural sector in a way that affects sustainable cultural development," expressing his hope "to enhance and coordinate cooperation in cultural fields." The statement added that "the ambassador reviewed, during the meeting, the most important joint cultural projects, especially those related to the Sumerian Hall and hosting the statue of the Lady of Warka known as the Sumerian Mona Lisa in the Italian Museum of Venice."
