Italian honour for Culture Minister

Manama, April 28 (BNA)-- Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa has been chosen for a top Italian honour. She will be bestowed the Order of the Italian Star next June during Italy's National Day celebrations, Italian Ambassador to Bahrain Alberto Vecchi revealed as he was received by the Culture Minister today. He pointed out that the honour is in recognition of the Culture Minister's outstanding role in enriching the Arab and international cultural scene through various activities, in addition to her relentless work in raising awareness of the importance of Bahrain's cultural heritage. The Culture Minister expressed happiness about the honour, describing it as a tribute to Bahrain which has become a cultural and touristic destination, thanking the Italian President for the honour.
