Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council Resumes Its Meetings In Preparation For The Joint Meeting In Baghdad Next April

Baghdad / NINA / -The Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council held a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Thamer Ghadhban and attended by the National Coordinator of the Group Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Alaq and a number of competent ministers and the Governor of the Central Bank.
" Ghadhban revealed Baghdad hosting the joint coordination meeting between the two sides on the third of next April," noting "the need to prepare for it" a statement issued by the Cabinet Secretariat said.
The Secretary General of the Council of Ministers reviewed the outputs and recommendations issued by the Council prior to the formation of the new government, the most prominent activities between the two countries, Saudi Arabia's desire to open a consulate in Najaf, the agreement to develop the border port (Arar), and establishment of the sort city which was donated by King of Saudi Arabia. "
The meeting also discussed the most important memorandums of understanding to be signed with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ministers also reviewed the most important previous procedures for memorandums of understanding, the need to follow up their progress and follow up their responses with the Saudi government.
The ministries are set to work with their Saudi counterparts to finalize strategic memorandums of understanding. "/End
