Iraqi Interior Minister Meets His Spain Counterpart

BAGHDAD / NINA / Iraqi Interior Minister, Mohammed Salem Al-Ghabban discussed, with his Spanish counterpart, Jorge Fernandez ways to combat foreign fighters to join terrorist organizations. A statement by the Interior Ministry said, "Ghabban, during his participation in the Madrid conference to combat the phenomenon of foreign fighters joining the extremist terrorist organizations, met his Spanish counterpart in the presence of Jean-Paul Labored, executive director of the organizing committee of the conference." The two sides discussed, "the repercussions of foreign fighters to join these terrorist organizations and ways to control and the security cooperation between the two ministries as well as exchanging experiences for the benefit of the two friendly countries" ./ end
