Iraqi FM Meets Qatari PM In Doha

Baghdad, Iraq (NINA) – Qatar's Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani said his country supports Iraq in its fight against terrorism and to contribute to the reconstruction of Iraq's infrastructure.
"Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari met Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani in Doha, Qatar, and discussed relations between the two countries, ways of enhancing them to the benefit of the two brotherly peoples and stressing the importance of adopting dialogue in the face of challenges. "
During the meeting, Qatari Prime Minister congratulated "the great victories achieved by the Iraqis in their war against the terrorist gangs," pointing out that "Qatar supports Iraq in its war against terrorism and contribute to the reconstruction of the infrastructure of Iraqi cities.
He said: "The stability of Iraq is the stability of the entire region and we need cooperation and coordination in all areas, especially security and intelligence; to eliminate terrorism, and prevent its spread."
He expressed his keenness to strengthen the economic, commercial and investment relations between Doha and Baghdad, especially with the availability of many opportunities to push bilateral relations forward.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani called on the importance of speeding up the meeting of the joint Qatari-Iraqi committee and enhancing joint cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
For his part, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ibrahim al-Jaafari said, "Terrorism has taken a global character, committed crimes and has not excluded any continent, country, city, religion, sect, sect or nation. The reaction of the countries of the world with the support of Iraq is unparalleled, and unprecedented in history. "
He said: "Whoever believes that he is safe from terrorism is illusion, and will not be far from its crimes because Daesh philosophy is based on killing and violence."
He added: "Those who have faced terrorists are the Iraqis, but the victories achieved were not far from the support of brotherly and friendly countries, and everyone has the right to be proud of the achievements, indicating that the strength of Iraq is the strength of all Arabs, and today Iraq is doing its best and supports diplomatic efforts to resolve the crises facing the region."
He explained that "Iraq will not interfere in the affairs of other countries, but it will not abandon efforts to achieve security and stability in the region. Iraq will not be part of the problems and crises and will remain committed to being part of the solution. And Iraq looks forward to establishing best relations with Arab countries and neighboring countries, and continued support of brotherly and friendly countries in the reconstruction of Iraqi cities.
During the meeting, al-Jaafari called on the prime minister of Qatar to visit Baghdad in the framework of opening more horizons for joint cooperation.
