Iraq, Russia Discuss Preparations For Holding the 8th Round Of Russian-Iraqi Committee Meetings For Trade, Economic, Scientific And Technical Cooperation

Baghdad, Iraq (NINA) - Iraq and Russia discussed preparations for holding the eighth round of meetings of the Iraqi - Russian committee for trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation, which is hoped to be held in Baghdad early next year. A statement of ministry of foreign affairs said "The Iraqi ambassador to the Russian Federation, Haidar Mansour Hadi al-Athari, met with the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Russian side of the Iraqi-Russian Joint Committee Yuri Borisov, in the presence of Assistant of Russian Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, special Envoy of President Putin to the Middle East and North Africa in Russian Prime Minister's Office ". During the meeting, they discussed ways of developing bilateral relations, coordination and joint action between the two countries, and preparations for holding the eighth round of the meetings of the Iraqi-Russian Committee for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, which is expected to be held in Baghdad early next year.
