Iraq, Japan Discuss The Participation In Monitoring Upcoming Elections And Exchange Visits Between The Two Countries

Baghdad / NINA / - The Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nizar Al-Khairallah, discussed with Japanese Ambassador Suzuki Kotaro Japan's participation in the upcoming parliamentary election monitoring teams and the exchange of high-level visits between the two countries. A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said today that Al-Khairallah received the Japanese ambassador and discussed with him a number of issues of common interest, the most important of which is the exchange of high-level visits between the two countries to enhance distinguished bilateral relations, as well as the importance of Japan's participation in the parliamentary election observation teams scheduled for next October. Japan appreciates Iraq's efforts and its active diplomacy to reduce tension in the region in order to achieve security and stability, and the importance of Japan's support for these efforts.
