Iraq, Iran Discuss Strengthening And Developing Judicial And Legal Cooperation

Baghdad / NINA /- The head of the judiciary in Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, discussed with the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faik Zaidan, the strengthening and developing the judicial and legal cooperation between the two countries. The official Iranian media stated that Raisi met, this morning, Tuesday, with the head of the Supreme Judicial Council in Iraq, Judge Faik Zaidan, and the issues of concern to the two countries were discussed. The two sides also discussed during the meeting the strengthening and development of judicial and legal cooperation between the two countries, and Iran and Iraq are expected to sign today several memoranda of understanding in the legal and judicial fields. The head of the judiciary in Iran arrived in Baghdad yesterday at the head of a delegation on a three-day visit at the official invitation of the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faik Zaidan, and he is scheduled to meet the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi./ End
