Iraq, China To Strengthen Industrial Cooperation And Increase Investment Opportunities

BAGHDAD / NINA / Acting Minister of Industry and Minerals, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani discussed with Chinese Ambassador, Wang Yong and his accompanying delegation ways of strengthening industrial cooperation and investment opportunities in the industrial field. Sudani stressed, during the meeting, according to a ministry statement today, the government's keenness and interest of cooperation with the Chinese side in various industrial sectors to develop, especially the implementation of the industrial cities projects, noting that the ministry's trend towards investment with foreign companies for the purpose of completing the industrial cities projects after achieving the ministry proper completion rates. The minister directed to provide the Chinese side with all the information on the projects of large industrial cities to their importance to implement industrial projects that will serve the country and creating jobs and reducing unemployment and supporting the national economy. For his part, the Chinese ambassador expressed his country's keenness to strengthen relations and industrial cooperation with Iraq, expressing the desire of Chinese companies to work in Iraq and contribute to construct and reconstruct campaigns under way, pointing out that China has great experience in setting up industrial cities where it carried out nearly 100 industrial cities. / End
