Iraq, Bulgaria Sign A Comprehensive Executive Program For An Iraqi School Building In Sofia

Baghdad / NINA /- The Ministry of Education announced that it has signed a comprehensive executive program for the building of an Iraqi school in the Bulgarian capital, Sofia. "The adviser to the Minister of Education Ali Al-Zubaidi received the Chargé d'Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Baghdad Valentin Nikolov, and aspects of cooperation between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in the educational fields were discussed," the ministry said in a statement received by the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA). The statement added that "the two sides also discussed the prospects for cooperation in developing the field of education within the frameworks of the Iraqi-Bulgarian agreement, as the meeting included raising the issue of the Iraqi school in Sofia, the problems and obstacles facing its work and the possibility of overcoming it." For his part, Valentin Nikolov stressed "his country's intention to provide all facilities to the Ministry of Education to advance the educational institution and provide service to Iraqi students in continuing their educational career." The meeting witnessed the completion of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries and the signing of a comprehensive implementation program for the school building there. It is worth mentioning that the meeting took place in the Ministry’s building in Baghdad and was attended by the Director General of Cultural Relations Dureid Dari Daas and Director of Cultural Exchange Firas Muhammad Hassan. / End
