Iraq, Bulgaria Discuss Bilateral Relations And Ways To Develop Them

BAGHDAD, Iraq (NINA) - Iraqi Ambassador to Sofia Qahtan Taha Khalaf discussed with Bulgarian Vice President Iliana Yutova the relations between the two countries and means of developing them to serve the two friendly peoples. "They discussed the latest developments in the war on terrorism and the victories of Iraqi forces against Daesh gangs in Mosul, where there is little left to declare the city completely liberated," according to ministry of Foreign Affairs statement said. The statement quoted the ambassador as saying "Iraq urgently needs more international support for the reconstruction of liberated areas and it looks forward to the development of economic and trade relations between the two countries through the contribution of Bulgarian companies to implement investment projects in Iraq." For her part, Vice-President of the Bulgarian Republic said that she will discuss the file of providing military assistance to Baghdad with the concerned officials in her country, as well as the issue of raising the level of diplomatic representation of Bulgaria in Iraq to ambassador./ End
