Iraq, Azerbaijan Discuss Strengthening Cultural And Tourism Cooperation

Baghdad / NINA / - Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Hassan Nadhim, expressed Iraq's readiness for cultural and tourism cooperation with Azerbaijan to revive relations between the two countries.
Nadhim said during his meeting with the Azerbaijani ambassador in Baghdad, Nasir Mammadov, and the accompanying delegation in his office in the ministry's office, "We are waiting for the wave of the pandemic to subside to start in-depth discussions within the framework of cooperation in the field of granting entry visas to citizens of the two countries."
The meeting discussed the exchange of specialists in science, and the Azeri experience in the field of reconstruction of archaeological and heritage areas affected by military operations.
The meeting dealt with the translation movement of literary productions between the two countries, as well as the reconstruction of religious shrines and some cultural and urban sites in Baghdad and the rest of the provinces.
The meeting also touched on studying the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two countries to remove obstacles to Iraqi travel to Azerbaijan, and to exchange religious tourists between the two countries./End
