Iraq And Iran Discuss Developing Bilateral Relations At All Levels

Baghdad / NINA / - The Acting Head of Neighboring Countries Department, Ihsan Yassin Al-Awadi, met at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Iraj Masjedi. A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that during the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries at various levels and issues of common interest were discussed, and the schedule of planned mutual official visits and the steps needed to be implemented by both sides in the foreseeable future in order to continue work to enhance means of joint cooperation in the interest of the two neighboring countries. For his part, the Iranian ambassador stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination in the issues at hand, and thanked the Iraqi government for its recent decision to grant entry visas to Iranian citizens at Iraqi airports./End
