Iran to officially start tapping 2 oilfields within days

Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb.24 / Trend F.Mehdi/ Iran will officially inaugurate Sarvestan and Saadatabad oilfields which are located in the central parts of the country by Friday with a target to produce 15,000 barrels of oil per day, Shana News Agency reported. The daily output is valued of $1.5 million dollars. The project creates 1,500 job opportunities. Two fields hold around 1.242 billion barrels of in-situ crude oil, ISNA quoted Mehdi Fakour, managing director of National Iranian Central Oilfields Company On February 2nd. Managing director of National Iranian Oil Company Ahmad Qalebani said that the country's daily oil and gas outputs should amount five million barrels and 1.47 billion cubic meters by 2015. Oil Minister Rostam Qasemi said in August 2011 that Iranian government should consider plans for the development of joint oilfields. The government should increase the budgets for the development of joint oilfields, Qasemi added. "The oil industry's infrastructure needs more than 500 trillion rials (about $41 billion) of investment to achieve objectives of the 20-Year Outlook Plan," Qasemi said. Do you have any feedback?
