Iran’s trade turnover with 90 countries is positive

Azerbaijan, Baku, Oct.14/ Trend G.Mehdi/ Iran's trade turnover (excluding oil and service sectors) with 90 countries was positive in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year, which ended on Sept.21, Iranian Customs Administration said. The trade turnover was negative with 88 countries, Fars News Agency reported. Imports accounted for 62.23 percent of the total trade turnover, compared to 65.04 percent the year before. The most positive trade turnovers were with Iraq, Afghanistan, India, Turkmenistan, and Indonesia, while the most negative trade turnover were with UAE, Turkey, South Korea, Switzerland, and Germany. On Aug.5, Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Shamseddin Hosseini said Iran conducted economic transactions with 150 countries in the last calendar year. Hosseini said Iran continues trading with the world at a time when certain countries are trying to put hurdles in front of its economic progress, the minister said. Iran's annual trade turnover is projected to reach $160 billion by the end of the fifth five-year development plan (March 2016), an official in the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) said in May. Kiyumars Fathollah Kermanshahi added that the value of annual imports and exports is planned to reach $77 billion and $83 billion respectively by 2016. Do you have any feedback?
