Iran’s president says everyone happy with JCPOA except hardliners

Baku, Azerbaijan, Jan. 17 By Khalid Kazimov – Trend: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has said that the implementation of the joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was a win-win game. “Everyone is happy except Zionists, arsonists and American hardliners,” Fars news agency quoted President Rouhani as saying Jan. 17 during his address to the parliament presenting the government’s draft budget for the coming Iranian fiscal year to start on March 21. President Rouhani thanked all Iranian branches of power for cooperating in the implementation of the nuclear deal and added that there was no loser in the JCPOA. Through a joint statement, EU High Representative Federica Mogherini and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif have announced the implementation of the JCPOA and that Iran’s nuclear related sanctions have been lifted. According to the statement, EU has confirmed that legal framework providing for lifting of its nuclear-related economic and financial sanctions is effective. Iran and the P5+1 group of countries in July 2015 agreed a landmark nuclear deal to curb Tehran’s sensitive nuclear activities in return for the lifting of international sanctions on the Islamic Republic. On the "implementation day" the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) verified that Iran has met all terms and commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA aka nuclear deal).
