Int'l Gathering in Doha Underline the Need for a Palestinian State

Doha, December 12 (QNA) -Participants in a seminar on the Arab-Israeli conflict stressed on Monday that recognition of a Palestinian state has become a necessity. The seminar, part of the functions of the UN Alliance of Civilizations Forum in Doha said that the Arab Spring will not block recognition of a Palestinian state, noting that the Palestinian flag was present in all the protests that called for change. Participants urged for expanding the membership of the Quartet on peace in the Middle East to include Arab countries and called for pressuring Israel into restarting peace talks with the Palestinians.
