Manama, Apr. 2. (BNA) -- In accordance with the Cabinet decision to reduce the fees of some services for the elderly by half, the Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa issued two edicts according to which all Bahrainis above 60 will pay half the fees when renewing their passports, vehicle registration and driving licences. The edicts stipulate that the ID and the Elderly Card issued by the Social Development Ministry are required to benefit from the reduction, while the fee reduction will cover only one vehicle of each elderly if he owned more than one.
