Interior minister receives Youth, Sports Affairs minister

Manama, June 10 (BNA): Minister of Interior Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received here today the Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs Hisham Al Jowder. He praised GOYS' efforts in caring for the youth and preparing the younger generation by involving them in sports' activities and raising their awareness of international standards. He asserted that the interior ministry supports programmes that aim to create good citizens, in line with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's reform project. He hailed His Majesty the King's Representative for Charity and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa's role at adopting initiatives to train, rehabilitate and provide the youth with the required skills to promote their national talents to serve the nation. He underscored the importance of preparing programmes for the youth, in coordination with the governorates, hailing the efforts of the Public Security Sports Association at developing the sports' sector in Bahrain. The minister praised shaikh Rashid's support for the activities of youth and sports affairs ministry so as to promote youths' skills in all fields.
