Interior Minister receives Jordanian House of Representatives Speaker

Manama, Sept. 21 (BNA): Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received today Jordanian House of Representatives Speaker Atef Tarawneh and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of First Deputy Speaker of the Representatives Council Ali Al Aradi, Chief of Public Security Major-General Tariq Al Hassan and Jordanian Ambassador to Bahrain Mohammed Ali Suraj. The Interior Minister welcomed them, lauding brotherly and growing relations between both countries thanks to the leaderships' keenness to further cement them. He also hailed Jordan’s supportive stance towards Bahrain which reflect close relations between the two countries. He highlighted the importance of such meetings in opening new horizons of cooperation by discussing issues of common interest. The Jordanian Speaker underscored support of the Jordanian parliament for Bahrain in facing different challenges, hailing the democratic and reform achievements in the kingdom.
