Interior minister congratulates leadership on F1 success

Manama, Apr. 21 (BNA): Interior Minister Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received here today senior Interior Ministry officials.
Interior Ministry Undersecretary of Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan and Interior Ministry Undersecretary, Major-General Khalid Al Absi attended the meeting.
The Interior Minister extended sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister on the success of the recent Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix.
He also conveyed profound thanks and appreciation of HM the King, HRH Premier and HRH Crown Prince, to policemen for their important role and great efforts that contributed to the success of the race.
He expressed his thanks to security departments and to police for professionally carrying out their duties and for their commitment to the law. He asked the attendees to convey his thanks and appreciation to all employees in their departments for their efforts in the protection of security and stability to help promote the reputation of Bahrain internationally.
He said maintaining order while ensuring rights for all is sometimes a delicate balance, but hopefully the success of the F1 was rewarding along with the positive response from visitors and citizens. He highlighted the experience Bahrain’s police gained as result of the hosting of the race for the past eleven years.
He directed the Interior Ministry's departments that are responsible for security at the F1 to study the positive and negative aspects of their plans to enhance performance and coordination in the future. He ordered these departments to submit a report in this regard within a week. He asserted that the mission of the police is to protect all and to maintain security and general order to enforce the law.
