Information minister praises solid Bahrain-UK ties

Manama, June 8 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi has lauded the solid long-standing Bahraini-British relations, progressing steadily in the political, economic, social and media fields on the basis on mutual respect. He made the statement as he received here today the UK Ambassador to Bahrain Iain Lindsay. The minister discussed with the envoy ways to bolster the Bahraini-UK relations of friendship and cooperation in all fields, especially the media one. They also discussed regional and global issues of mutual concern. Ambassador Lindsay affirmed his country's keenness to consolidate the historical relations with Bahrain in order to enhance the reform march, economic development and modernisation in kingdom, and achieve the interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples.
